you have made me smile again
in fact, i might be sore from it
it's been awhile
i know we've been together many times before

If you want:

Pick a song lyric that either describes me or your feelings about me, and post it anonymously, and I'll see if I can tell.

nicked from... well... Nick.

Leave a comment with your name if you want to know what I really think of you, and I'll reply and tell you. No lies, all honesty. Then post this in your journal so I can find out what you think of me.

Also, if you want me to sugarcoat my reply, just put "sc" next to your name and I'll be sure to do that, otherwise, I'm going to rip you a new one be honest. :)

And no complaining afterwards.

brevity is the soul of wit.

for an old friend:

we went down to the may parade
mumbled words under my breath
there is something i've been meaning to do
i am dying to tell you:
i've been so damn tired

we went down at the may parade
bitter words under my breath
there is something i've been dying to do
i was meaning to tell you:
i've been so damn sad
'cause i spy something red

you don't know how far you've come
or recognise who you've become
how'd you grow to be so hard?
i'm sick of playing my part

we went down at the may parade
alcohol under my breath
there is something i've been meaning to do
i've been dying to tell you
i've been so damn sad
'cause i spy something red

you don't know how far you've come
or recognise who you've become
how'd you grow to be so hard?
i'm sick of playing my part

So I read Hamlet last night.

"...the origin and commencement of his grief sprung from neglected love."

Anywho-

I was thinking (see?) that I'd be a lot cooler (see?) if I talked like a 1920s gangster (see?).

What's the word?

Have a ten page term paper to write for philosophy that's due tomorrow and absolutely no inclination to do it. Going to see the third matrix movie tonight, having only seen five minutes of the first and half of the second.

I'm hoping my distance from the craze will allow me to objectively evaluate it for what it is. And I plan on staring at Keanu Reeves a lot. lol.

This, methinks, is a pointless post.

"You aren't the unrequited type."

My new blockbuster card will be the death of me. Indeed.

I'm like Australia, WTF mates?

So I watched three excellent movies yesterday.

Well, two excellent movies.

To begin:

Beat: Wow! I was thorougly taken aback. I, like every good beat era fan, did at one point learn the first hundred lines of Ginsberg's "Howl," but this? This boggled my mind.

It was beautiful. Beautiful and haunting. Four excellent actors in roles I never pictured them in, but perfect all the same. Even Courtney Love shined. And Norman? Well, he was Norman. Need I say more?

Ron Livingston also impressed me. Loved him, (of course), in Office Space, but this was serious drama and he didn't let me down. Not the way I pictured Ginsberg, but captivating and charming all the same.

"I collect kisses from sweet little girls."

[swoon]

It was somewhat ruined because I knew the story (William and Joan), but Norman gave Clark a run for his money in the business suit at the end.

"Snapshot poetics" - That's what this movie was.

-

Best Men was different, but altogether enjoyable just the same. A ridiculous premise carried out by a mishmashedly scrumptious cast - this definitely got four what-a-bunch-of-absurd-bullshit-awesome stars from me.

Sean Patrick? Even with a quasi-mullet, he does it for me. Dean Cain? Andy Dick? What ever happened to those guys? They made this movie, and no one appreciated it as the piece of cinematic geniushit it was.

-

I also watched Gossip because of the lovely Mr. Reedus. And, as I expected, he was the only bright point.

Sigh. It was a good day. I'm so excited for Carrie to watch Best Men. Have a fantastic day!

"Don't be absurd, Lucien. They don't fry freshman literature students."

"Did you ever hear that song?" "You bought me the CD, dick!"

Bah. I was discussing the merits of people-watching yesterday with Carrie, and it got me thinking.

I'm sitting in the computer lab, under the pretense of writing my self-analysis paper for Speech class, but I'm actually watching the guy in the row in front of me take one of those stupid email quizzes. You know the ones:

List the numbers 1-10 on a piece of paper.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Now write four names slots 1, 2, 3, 4

Blah, blah, the song titles correspond to your feelings about the four people. It was funny because he actually did it. Wrote them down, then followed the directions. From his nods, I can tell that this little quiz was dead on to how he feels about Ashleigh and Dana.

Gar.

Then I was thinking that it might be funny if HE had a livejournal and somehow stumbled upon mine and read about himself, or was writing about the weird girl behind him who kept reading what he was typing.

It IS a small world after all.

Then again, only really lame people have lj's. :)

I listened to a two-hour speaker the other day about how binge drinking is the best predictor of failure in college. I concur.

No, really, I should really be writing this stupid paper.

So, to the hordes and masses hanging on my every word, goodbye-
